In Visible Roads is a pan-stylistic festival and musical cartography with the piano at guiding compass. Involving 20 pianists, 28 living composers, and 9 instrumental collaborators, Metropolis Ensemble and the Blueprints Piano Series (co-led by pianists Erika Dohi and Daniel Anastasio) together bring seemingly disparate jazz artists and improvisers, classical and contemporary specialists, revealing hidden paths and meeting places to illustrate new musical landscapes.

Mark Dover/ clarinet
Praised by Opera News for his "exemplary clarinet playing," New York based clarinetist Mark Dover is becoming increasingly known for his versatility in multiple genres and musical disciplines. In January of 2016, Dover joined the Grammy-nominated wind quintet, Imani Winds. As both part of Imani Winds and as a featured artist, Dover has collaborated with pianists Gil Kalish, Fabio Bidini, Jon Nakamatsu, and Alpin Hong; violinists Caroline Goulding, Alexi Kenney, and Francesca de Pasquale; and cellist Brook Speltz.
Guy Mintus/ piano
For Guy Mintus it’s not the what but the why that goes behind a musical gesture. Whether he’s sharing the stage with jazz legends, composes for classical orchestras, collaborates with masters of traditional music or working with kids; Guy feels at home. The Israeli pianist, coming from a mixed heritage of Iraqi, Moroccan & Polish jews, is a true citizen of the world - NY based for the past five years while constantly on the go having recently presented his music in Brazil, India, Turkey, throughout Europe, the US and Canada.
